No, you don’t need to join a band and pray for a low paying gig now and then, but you could tutor young musicians by giving music lessons. You can simply put an ad in the local paper, contact the music department at the school and offer your services, hang flyers or business cards in the music shops, or even get really creative and make a website. Try and be competitive with your pricing. This is an awesome way to earn extra money.
